Participant's Handbook

Thank you for joining the UiPath Agentic Automation Workshop!

This handbook is your practical guide for the hands-on exercise. It walks you through each step, explains what's happening and why, and helps you build something real by the end of the session.

Training Environment

Make sure the AgenticWorkshop tenant is selected in the top right corner before you start. If you can't reach the environment, contact your trainer.

What You'll Build

You'll implement a Benefit Claims process from the government sector — the procedure citizens use to request financial or service-based assistance, such as pensions, social assistance, or unemployment benefits.

Along the way you'll bring together most of the platform. You'll model the end-to-end process as a BPMN diagram, orchestrate it in Maestro, extract data from a claim PDF with IXP and an RPA workflow, build three AI agents that verify residency, verify income, and determine eligibility, add a human validation step so a case worker makes the final call, and wire up Integration Service to notify the applicant either way.

That's nine steps, each building on the last. By the end you'll have one process that coordinates robots, agents, and a human — which is what agentic orchestration actually looks like in production.

Something worth holding onto as you work through the exercise

Specialized, domain-specific AI solutions are crushing general-purpose chatbots. Companies applying traditional software engineering principles — version control, testing, deployment pipelines — are winning over those chasing AI hype.

Let's build some specialized, domain-specific AI solutions today.
